We have asked Bruno Näf, at MARTI+co, Switzerland about their experience being an AMSOIL Distributor, and we’re excited to share their story with you!
So Bruno, tell us a little bit more about MARTI+co:
Sure, we are a family-owned company with a long tradition in the lubricants and car paint business. The company was founded in 1946 by the grandfather of today’s CEO Daniel Marti; back then we were the local dealer for Shell lubricants and for DuPont car paint. The company has since grown constantly today we are a team of over 20 people, still focusing as a distributor for lubricants and car paint covering the entirety of Switzerland and Liechtenstein. We serve uniquely professional workshops and dealers in the automotive business and in the industry.
How many lubricant brands have you worked with prior to choosing to sell AMSOIL ?
We are keen to work on long-term partnerships with our suppliers to ensure strong relationships and continuity. At present, we work mainly with 4 lubricant brands, for 3 brands we are exclusive distributor in Switzerland.
What influenced you to choose AMSOIL initially ?
In Switzerland, there is a strong community of American car lovers and they tend to like to work with dedicated American products. Also, we are popular with petrol-heads, tuning and racing fanatics, and the motorcycle scene and the ATVC/UTV scene are always very interested in dedicated products.
As former Sunoco dealer, we know that there is a demanding but faithful family of enthusiasts who are looking for the best product available.

What is unique about AMSOIL ?
- AMSOIL does an outstanding job in terms of marketing, technical information, and product quality. This starts with the packaging: most competitor products have rather boring looking bottles and labels.
- AMSOIL is different : you immediate see that their product is something special. Dealers even display the boxes in their show rooms. These guys strongly identify with the brand and they will put AMSOIL stickers everywhere as they are proud of carrying the brand!
- AMSOIL shows unique presence on the new online media such as Facebook, Instagram and websites. It’s amazing how they can bring up extremely interesting stories and articles so frequently on social media!
- We particularly like the technical AMSOIL Blogs catered around technical background information and showcase why AMSOIL products are the best quality products on the market.
- AMSOIL also provides top-quality technical support. Although the technical service is based in the US, we always get support quickly. It’s what you expect from a good supplier.
What is the customer feedback in Switzerland ?
We started selling AMSOIL products in March 2020 mainly to our distributor network. So far, we have received very positive feedback. Customers like the spirit of the brand. Often, they are aware of the brand, despite it not having been around in the Swiss or European markets for very long. Quality-wise we received very positive feedback for the additives and also for the motor oils.

What is your overall level of satisfaction with AMSOIL services ?
We are glad that we started with AMSOIL. It suits very well into our portfolio without competing with other brands we carry. As a very good completion to our portfolio, we can offer a brand with a unique identity and spirit that offers more than just motor oil. The quality is top-level, this is an important determinant for us.
What do you or your customers like most about AMSOIL products?
The confidence that the quality of the products is the best in the market. AMSOIL has a certain legendary status: people hear about it, but you cannot get it in supermarkets nor in generalist workshops. It’s for people who want something better than average.
Does carrying AMSOIL help you attract new customers ?
Yes, there is a good potential, especially in the tuning scene, and in the American car importers and American classic car workshops scene. But without our extremely motivated sales staff who visit customers and get the personal relationship, it would be difficult to succeed. Luckily, we have our staff who do an extremely good job!
What are the most popular products you sell ?
The Signature Series motor oils are our top seller. What are the most popular products you sell?The Z-Rod products and the Dominator Oils are also very popular and the P.I. Improver and Diesel All-in-One are also good sellers.
Customers also like the clothing and merchandise they show-off proudly, strongly identifying with the brand.
